A taco is an antojito of Mexican cuisine that consists of a tortilla corn folded or rolled on itself almost always containing a garnish most often made of meat, sauce, onion and chopped fresh coriander. Tacos are usually eaten without cutlery, with your fingers.


  • 8 tortillas for tacos (bought, or recipe on the site Marmiton)
  • 1 white onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 glass of tomato sauce (10 cl)
  • 250 g ground beef
  • 1 small box of red beans
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 8 lettuce leaves
  • Cumin powder
  • Pepper
  • Salt


Step 1 :

In the pan, brown the chopped onion in a little olive oil.

Step 2:

Add the meat, season and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 3 :

Wash the lettuce leaves.

Step 4:

Cut the tomatoes and pepper into small cubes.

Step 5:

Stir in the pan with the tomato coulis, and continue cooking for 5 minutes.

Step 6:

Drain the red beans and add them 2 min before the end of cooking.

Step 7:

Off the heat, adjust the seasoning and sprinkle generously with cumin; we can also add a few drops of Tabasco.

Step 8 :

Garnish the tortillas and close them by rolling them like pancakes. Arrange 1 lettuce leaf on each tacos before serving.
